Northern Virginia Regional Group Annual Poker Run April 12, 2003
Our destination for lunch was the historic 1763 Inn in Upperville, Virginia, an Inn that George Washington reputedly stayed at. Of course, he was alleged to have stayed at a lot of inns and homes in all the colonies, but this one seems more likely to be true than some of the other stories.
Our V-8s were parked on the grass in front of the Inn while we went inside for a delicious German luncheon meal. The cars obviously drew many admiring stares from motorists passing by.
Charlie Morrison in the process of opening the winning hand - a Club Flush. Charlie was somewhat chagrined as he had also won the NVRG monthly meeting 50/50 the previous two months. Created 06/01/03 |
