Cliff's '40
Woodie as it appeared in the NVRG 2006 Calendar |
| |
| I was the editor of the Northern Virginia Regional Group newsletter, the
Valve Clatter, from 1997 to 2007.
During that time it was selected as the best Early Ford V-8 Club
regional group newsletter in 2003 and 2004 and won a Third Place in 2005. It
also won the Old Cars Weekly Golden Quill Awards in 2003 and 2005. It is an informative monthly publication with club news and technical topics.
Numerous articles from the Valve Clatter have been reprinted in V-8
Times. |

I own a Dearborn
Emeritus 1940 Ford woodie that I have owned since 1968. |

I replaced some of the
original wood that I "fixed up" years ago when I first restored the Woodie. |
|
 |
|
When I removed the quarter panel to work
on the wood I found out that the metal moths had been nibbling at the inner
fender panel. I welded in new metal before moving on to the wood. |

Making progress now. I made the corner
post but had Wood n Carr build the wheel surround for me. |

| I own an extensive prewar Ford literature collection and am willing to research your questions. |
